Commercial Motor Vehicle New Entrant Overview and Compliance Training

This course provides Motor Carriers with the foundational knowledge necessary to operate safely, legally, and successfully. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) New Entrant Safety Assurance Program, and its ability to help identify and correct safety management deficiencies early to reduce crash risks and promote long-term compliance.

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 am

Presenter: Trooper First Class Derek Holston 

Who should attend: New motor carrier owners and operators, safety managers, compliance officers, fleet supervisors, and administrative staff responsible for FMCSA regulatory compliance

Tuition (per person): $59 for members, $79 for non-members. All funds benefit the NH Automotive Education Foundation.

About the Presenter: Trooper First Class Derek Holston has proudly served with the New Hampshire State Police for 20 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he has spent the past 14 years assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Team, where he has specialized in ensuring the safety and compliance of commercial motor vehicles traveling through New Hampshire. For five of those years, he also served as a dedicated member of the New Entrant Team, working closely with new motor carriers to promote safety standards and regulatory compliance. Trooper First Class Holston’s extensive experience and commitment to public safety continue to make him a valued member of the State Police and the transportation enforcement community.
