A NHADA Diamond PARTNER“While serving on the NHADA Board over the years, I’ve learned first-hand how powerful a well-organized group of like-minded dealers can be when working together to create a fair and level playing field for the many legislative, regulatory, and manufacturer hurdles we face,” said David Hammer.
“Current industry shifts toward EV and other alternative fuel vehicles, autonomous driving, direct-to-consumer sales, and right to repair laws, all create an environment where a strong unified voice is never more critical.”
Since 1999, David has been actively involved at NHADA serving on the Board of Directors for much of this time including as its Chair from 2001-2002, and more recently as Treasurer from 2016 to the present. As NH’s NADA Director, David will continue to sit on the NHADA Board as a Director.
According to NHADA, the Director is the voice of the members who elect the Director to the NADA Board and as such the Director has definite duties, responsibilities, and obligations including but not limited to the following:
- Keep current on NADA activities, policies, and positions and keep abreast of business trends and practices affecting the retail automotive industry; know the key issues affecting dealers in his or her state and determine which are the most important issues in the eyes of NADA and the membership.
- Actively represent the opinions of the Director’s membership and his or her state association.
- Establish effective communication with members and NHADA’s president.
- Attend state association meetings to discuss NADA activities and solicit input from dealers.
- Communicate to members through the state, metro, and local association newsletters, personal letters, and other available methods.
- Attend and participate in NADA Board meetings and meetings of the committees of which the Director is a member.
