Chandler Ives has joined NHADA as the Creative Director in the Communications office.
You have seen Chandler’s work many times; he was an intern in the NHADA communications office over the course of the last two years of his college career. He worked in many capacities, such as supporting the online store, modifying NHADA websites, converting print publications to HTML, and occasionally photographing and filming events and people.
A life-long NH resident, he graduated from Keene State College where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, with a minor in Studio Art.
Following his time at Keene State, Chandler worked at Calypso, a digital marketing agency in Portsmouth, where he currently resides. During his time at Calypso, Chandler served as a User Experience/User Interface Designer, where he learned the importance of putting the end user first.
“I can design the most beautiful interface in the world, but if it yields a poor user experience, then I’ve failed.” Chandler said.
Among his many goals and objectives for the communications department, is redesigning the NHADA.com website, providing a new look to the Dateline:NH print publication and the In Motion email, and improving NHADA’s marketing capabilities. “I am excited to have Chandler on the NHADA team,” said NHADA President Pete McNamara. “He is already familiar with the association’s communications department and brings a fresh outside perspective. I think the NHADA membership will benefit greatly.”
Chandler enjoys all that the NH seacoast has to offer, from going to the beach to catching a Bruins game at the local brewery. As a proud owner of his Ford Focus ST, it’s safe to say he has found a home in the automotive industry. “I have the honor of continuing to do what I am passionate about — graphic design — in an entirely new industry, and for that I am very thankful,” Chandler said.
