βThe NHADA supports the actions taken by the New Hampshire Attorney General, which led to a major settlement this week with DMO Auto Acquisitions. It is unfortunate to see any business involved in questionable activity against customers, especially in the automotive business, but this settlement is not reflective of the hundreds of sales conducted every day here in New Hampshire.
The NHADA represents 500 franchised and independent businesses in the motor vehicle industry across our state. There are checks and balances in the state that promote businesses and protect consumers. For example, NHADA offers an auto consumer action program, or AutoCAP, which provides a mediation process to handle disputes and concerns involving a local dealership. We work closely with the NH Attorney General to ensure customers are satisfied, and we are pleased that in the case involving DMO Auto Acquisitions that customers were made whole in the settlement. Through collaboration and transparency, the NHADA will continue working to ensure our business practices are the best in the country.β
